(Note: They can't "see" your cloaked units, but they can remember where that unit last de-cloaked. This means you need at least some mobile defense in order to respond. They know where your units are and will always attack the least defended areas, they will send units through the holes in your lines and get to your back territories. Stringing out barbed wire slows down the AI(The AI doesn't even bother trying to get through if it has a choice. However, they don't use field defenses and you can. What the AI does after this is to press on and capture your resources, which is not as easy for you because you don't know where their units are, but they always know where yours are.

The CPU AI does some things right that you can learn from.įirst thing is that they spam pioneers/engineers early on, to grab lots of early resource. So I dont think you need to finish it before playing skirmishes. I play skirmishes more than the campaign, and the campaign is really good. I used to play the other way around (build base, defend, build large army, anihilate), but adapting was not that hard for me to do. Dont build stationary defences early, heavy machine gun crews and infantry are your best bet. Without a decent fuel supply the enemy is very limited as far as vehicles, especially tanks. And you should concentrate on fuel, capture fuel points at all costs. You want to hold as much territory as possible in the first few minutes to stand a chance. They spam engineers all over the map to take points. My advice (and the advice on the Relic forums) is to play a skirmish on normal difficulty, then watch the replay and pay attention to what the enemy AI does in the early game.
